The Clinical Assistant is responsible for supporting the clinical activities assigned to the Clinical Supervisor at a company location; supports the planning of clinical services to clients and conferring with employee to ensure services are provided at quality levels consistent with professional standards of practice. The position reports to the Clinical Supervisor.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Reflects the company's mission and values in developing and maintaining professional working relationship with others.
Ensures client clinical records are compliant and client care is delivered according to professional standards of practice, state and federal regulations, physician and non-physician practitioner (NPP) orders, payer guidelines and company policies, procedures and processes.
Performs delegated tasks to assist the clinical supervisor with daily clinical operations of the office to ensure clients receive quality-assured, cost-effective and compliant care as efficiently as possible.
Supports the planning, directing, and delivery of client care services, including performing visits in the field when indicated, ordering medical supplies, and visit scheduling activities.
Assists in mentoring and supervising staff, holding them accountable for role responsibilities, competencies, individual performance and goals.
Assists with ensuring recruitment, onboarding, supervision, evaluation, training, assignment and discharge of staff is done according to established company policies and procedures.
May provide oversight and guidance on communicable disease management for clients and employees.
Reviews clinical record documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
Manages work assignments effectively, remains flexible with unexpected changes, and may participate in aspects of the on call rotation.
Communicates and coordinates clinical care needs between the clinicians and the office.
Develops and maintains a positive relationship with referral sources including physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, community resources, insurance companies and payers.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Client care provided in individual client homes and may require transfers and lifting with adaptive equipment. Must be adaptable to a variety of environments and community settings. Must be able to drive or use public transportation in all types of weather.
Heavy to Very Heavy. Heavy lifting necessary for client care. Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for heavy work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Minnesota. The license must not have been revoked, suspended, and without limitations or restrictions.
Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation in order to travel to multiple company business stops a day.
A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance when using a personal vehicle for company business.
Proof of negative mantoux or documentation of negative chest x-ray.
Have U.S. Citizenship or evidence of valid Alien Work Permit.
Disclose any conviction and criminal history records pertaining to any crime related to the provision of health services. A candidate who has been convicted of such crimes will not be hired.
Pass initial and ongoing background studies and screenings including but not limited to those of the Minnesota Department of Health and the Federal Office of the Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals and Entities.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Have at least two (2) years' experience in a health care facility or home care field.
Demonstrates critical thinking skills, the ability to follow standards/procedures, and make appropriate clinical judgments to provide safe and effective client care.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, adapt to change, and manage a variety of assignments while establishing priorities and ensuring the necessary duties are completed.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; interpersonal communication and teaching skills.
Basic computer skills and willing to learn new software programs; experience with Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft Outlook preferred.
Current CPR certification highly recommended.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
